←This is what I had for yesterday's lunch and the nenu (sorry it is all in Japanese).
I went to this place called Keya. It is located in Shima Town which is the west of Fukuoka-city. Keya has really nice beach and the beach is nominated as Japan's best 88 beachs.
I have to say that the ocean is awesome!! To tell you the truth, I learned to appreciate the ocean while I was in LA which is not long ago. I started swimming at the age of 6 and swam almost everyday until I retired from comeptitive swimming when I was 26. I was so busy swimming that I hardly got the chance to go to the beach and hang out. I enjoyed swimming in the water with full of chlorine rather than the mother ocean. Anyways, I believe that spending time, such as reading books and play catch, by the beach untill Sun goes down is the best way to live life. Well, I can have such a gorgeous time only few days a year since I have to make some money to simply survive pretty much everyday Oh well, I guess I will try going to the beach as much as I can while I am unemployed. haha
By the way, I feel lucky because I live near the ocean. What I like about where I currently live is its location. You can see Mt. Abura yama in the South. There are Yahoo Dome, Fukuoka Tower, and the ocean I wrote about above. Furthemore, public transportation is well developed and the access to Fukuoka Airport, Hakata station, Tenjin (Fukuoka Central) is very easy. Also, the food is delicious here and it is cheaper than other big cities like Tokyo. The lunch I had yesterday had a a lot of seafood, like sashimi, grilled turban shell (sazae), but it only cost \1,600. If you try to have the same meal in Tokyo, you have to pay at least \4,500.
Anyway, the beaches in Fukuoka is nice. It is cleaner compared to the other. I would recommend you to go there and hang out if you are having stressful days.
